WinMobile AES Explorer Extension (wmAES e-e) is an advanced password based file encryption add-on module for Windows Mobile Pocket PC WM2003/SE/5.0/6.0’s file explorer. It is simple and easy to use yet providing the best in state of the art technology. Tap and hold on the selected file in the explorer, and you can encrypt or decrypt the file. A free desktop version of the software is available to facilitate encryption and decryption from desktop to mobile or vice versa.
wmAES e-e combines AES (Advanced Encryption Standard - Rijndael) cryptographic algorithm with HMAC-SHA1 for authentication and key derivation from a password and a salt according to RFC2898 specification.
wmAES e-e implements Salt Value; as a pseudo-random sequence of bytes that is combined with the encryption password to create encryption and authentication keys. wmAES e-e provides authentication to ensure that the contents of an encrypted file have not been inadvertently changed or deliberately tampered with since they were first encrypted. wmAES e-e implements password verifier to cope with huge files and enable fast verification on the input password.
